Home . advertising billboards
/ graphic
The Home graphic consists of an image of the 'Home' icon from the
Netscape Navigator browser. Unlike the original 'Home' icon, here
it is printed in black and silver and white. The graphic's size is
2 x 2 metres. Within the billboard project is displayed on a white
background [variable dimensions up to billboard size; 3 x 4m, 2.5
x 5 m etc.].
The posters are displayed on commercial billboards close to the Croatian
borders. A part of the 'Home' icon poster is that there is no further
information at the point of the poster. There is no other product
behind this advertising campaign, i.e. the poster is advertising it's
own image and message.

illegal immigrants dis.information . on-line work
We
are lead into 'home' by repeated iconography of the home button from
Netscape including a page where the icon has grown to a square meter.
One square meter is 2835 x 2835 pixels, thus the image size vary dependent
on user's monitor resolution. Once you get beyond the 'home' icon
there are several home pages. Computer-generated collages of partial
information which are randomly collected from the web are displayed
at different fake home pages. Automation of this technological process
is made with the help of chosen keywords using TraceNoizer art software.
This process renders pages that are less than helpful and a sort of
representation of confused and partial and second hand information.
