204 NO CONTENT

2004 . fax action and installation

The fax message consists of a typographic image which reads ‘204 NO CONTENT’, an internet error report meaning that server has received the request but there is no information to send back. See the work in full-size [389 x 21 cm] here.

The telefax action took place at 21 - 03 - 2004 as part of Open Studio with Frends event at PS 1, New York. A computer placed at Darko Fritz’s studio in Amsterdam performed a pre-programmed fax-modem communication sending a fax to Tomo Savic-Gecan’s studio in PS 1, New York.
